Privacy Policy
YardMap is a personal app for keeping track of your own sprinkler system. It is built to keep your information on your devices. This policy explains what the app does with it.
What the app stores
- The pins you create: names, notes, GPS coordinates, photos, zones, to-dos and repair entries.
- The homes you add, including any address you type or choose.
- Your display preferences, such as colors and map style.
This information is saved on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, it is also stored in your own private iCloud storage so it can sync between your devices and survive a phone upgrade. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Location
YardMap asks for your location only while the app is open. It is used to save where a sprinkler is and to guide you back to it. Your location is not sent to us. You can turn location off at any time in iPhone Settings, and you can still place pins by hand on the map.
Camera and photos
The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo of a sprinkler. Photos you add are stored with that pin, on your device and in your iCloud, and are not shared with us.
What we collect
Nothing. YardMap has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not sell or share personal information. Apple's Maps and iCloud services are used to show the map, look up addresses and sync your data, and are covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Deleting a pin or home in the app removes it. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device. To remove synced data from iCloud, go to Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, choose YardMap, and delete its data.
Children
YardMap is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
